Attorneys:
Allison J. Nelson earned her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1998 after she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from State University of New York at Geneseo where she was a member of the women’s varsity tennis team. She was admitted to the practice of law in New York in 1999. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Oswego County Bar Association (President 2008-2009). She is affiliated with a number of local organizations including the stakeholder committee for the Oswego County Business Plan Competition and the Board of Directors of Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County, Inc. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Oswego County Housing Development Council, Inc. and the Greater Fulton Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her work with the the Oswego County Family Treatment Court and the Oswego County Model Court Collaborative, she also received recognition as a recipient of the Oswego County Business Magazine’s “40 under 40” award in 2004. Prior to opening her own practice, Ms. Nelson was employed with a local law firm and previously clerked in the Oswego County District Attorney’s office. Ms. Nelson serves as attorney for the Oswego County Department of Social Services and various municipalities in Oswego County and surrounding areas. Ms. Nelson is a native of Oswego County where she resides with her family. She concentrates her practice in the areas of municipal law, real estate and business transactions, estates and estate planning.
Annalise M. Dykas earned her Juris Doctor from University of Maryland School of Law in 2005 after she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Fairfield University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was admitted to the practice of law in New York in 2008. She is a member of the Oswego County Bar Association and serves on several committees as a member of the Oswego County Model Court Collaborative. Ms. Dykas has previously served as an adjunct professor at State University of New York at Oswego and engaged in civil litigation while working for the National Association of the Deaf. Ms. Dykas worked for a local firm as an attorney for the Oswego County Department of Social Services and continues to handle family court matters in her position with the Nelson Law Firm. She resides in Minetto with her family and concentrates her practice in the areas of municipal law and traffic matters.
